Lifestyle Medicine Program

A newer specialty of medicine that focuses on 6 pillars to prevent and treat chronic medical diseases. This approach helps to address the root cause of medical problems rather than focusing on treating symptoms. The pillars include:

Nutriton

A major part of lifestyle changes, we will review in detail how to optimize your food intake to get more of what your body needs, feel full, and likely lose weight in the process.

Exercise

Regular exercise is crucial to improving health and preventing disease. There is good evidence for both cardio (walking/running/biking/etc.)
and for resistance (weights/bands/etc.) We will create a plan together to address exercise and provide accountability during this 8 week program

Stress Management

The American life is filled with stress and unfortunately, the health consequences of it can be severe. Breathe deep my friend! During our 8 weeks, we will discuss ways to manage stress that work with your life. We will talk about the nervous system and mental health as we find ways to address stress. You can see how these pillars work together (exercise and social connection are part of the solution).
